About JMC
Anthony Lacey FRICS has been advising clients on property issues now for more years than he cares to remember!
He grew up in Bournemouth and after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor began his career working for the Greater London Council dealing with slum clearance schemes in Hackney. He then joined Trust House Forte in Holborn and was responsible for the property management of many of their hotels in Southern and Northern England.
Next after a period in private practice where he gained valuable experience in carrying out building surveys and valuations he moved to Southampton managing the regional office of a commercial development company. This involved much travelling around the South East searching out development sites; producing Feasabilty Reports and negotiating the purchases.
After returning to London as a Development Surveyor based in Mayfair Edward Heath’s “three day week” led to widescale redundancies in the property profession so it proved the right time to set up his own private practice in Harpenden. JM Consultants therefore has very longstanding ties with the town and all his three daughters were educated at St George’s School.
After so many years in practice most of his clients are by word of mouth recommendations or previous clients returning with new instructions. He also prides himself on being available to his clients from early morning to late evening and can be readily contacted to discuss the contents of his reports or to advise on any concerns clients might have about the type of report or inspection required in their particular case.
