Schedules of Dilapidation
A Schedule of Dilapidation is normally required at the end of a lease – either an interim or final schedule – to determine what works are required for the tenant to fully comply with the internal and/or external repairing covenants set out in the lease at the start of the term.
The tenant can then either arrange to carry out the repairs before finally vacating the premises or agree a cash settlement with the landlord in lieu of any works.
